Positive Negatives provide a great fundraising idea for your school, kindergarten, childcare centre, plunket group, play centre or sports group. Group portrait sessions are fun and very popular - and you can raise money at the same time!
We make it easy for you - our professional photographers are fully mobile, and can travel nationwide. Read on to find out about our different group fundraising options.
 Portrait photography options for your next group fundraising event
Individual Sessions: These involve
photographing children and siblings attending on a particular
day, with no appointment necessary. We also offer colour class
photos during these sessions.
Family Sessions: These are held on a
Saturday or Sunday, or for large groups both days may be required.
Suitable for families and children individually and together,
and other combinations may be requested if time permits. Each
appointment time is 10 minutes, which allows time for an average
size family portrait and a sibling portrait. Individual sibling
portraits may be taken if time is available. We are unfortunately
unable to photograph families with eight or more members because
of background space limitations; in these cases we would suggest
a studio sitting (sitting fee applies).
Numbers
Required
We require a minimum of 30 families per day.
We can photograph up to 40 families in one day.
Group
Sittings are Free
Each sitting is free within the group session
booking. Each family is provided with a set of proofs to choose
enlargements from. These proofs are free, and don't need to
be returned. There is no obligation on families to purchase.
Prints are priced from $16.50.
Letting
Families Know About the Session
On confirmation of your group booking, we will
provide you with personalised flyers and posters. These will
have all the information needed for your families to contact
you to arrange their appointment. Organiser information and
appointment sheets will also be provided.
Receiving
Proofs and Prints
Photo proofs will be couriered to you for distribution
to your families one week after the session. We will collect
orders from you two weeks after you have received the proofs.
The orders will be processed and returned to you two weeks
later.
How
Much You Can Fundraise
Your group will receive a ten percent commission
on the total orders collected within the two-week collection
period (this will be GST inclusive). The GST portion of the
commission can only be paid to a group that is GST registered.
If your group is not GST registered, payment will be made
exclusive of GST.
Commissions vary according to the number of
appointments and the level of organisation and involvement.
To achieve optimum fundraising it is essential the organiser
confirms appointments with each family prior to the session
date, and encourages families to place their orders within
the two-week collection period.
